Mary Elizabeth Spurlock, 88, of Huntsville, Arkansas died December 6, 2011 at Huntsville. She was born April 25, 1923 at Amarillo, Texas the daughter of Grady Woodfin and Claudie Elizabeth Smith Camp. She was a retired librarian with the Huntsville Schools, a member of the Huntsville Church of Christ and a graduate of the University of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Spurlock, two brothers, Woodfin Camp and, Lewis Davis.

Survivors include: her husband of sixty-seven years, Ernest Spurlock of the home; one son and two daughters-in-law, Steve and Karen Spurlock and Carla Spurlock all of Huntsville, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Ruthie Camp of Raleigh, North Carolina; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Richard Clifton of Hawkins, Texas, Candice Camp and Pete Hopcus of Austin, Texas; and Barbara and Kenneth Chalmers of Lubbock, Texas; nine grandchildren, Harry and Kari Spurlock of Hindsville, Arkansas, Ernie and Amanda Spurlock of Springdale, Arkansas, Denise and Joey McNeely of Huntsville, Arkansas. Kerry Spurlock of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sarah Ward of Springdale, Arkansas, Suzie and Al Sanford of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kristy Hicks of Lowell, Arkansas, Andrea Hatfield and John Taylor of Antioch, Tennessee, Ron and Randi Hatfield of Springdale, Arkansas; fourteen great-grandchildren, Claire Spurlock, Katelyn Spurlock, Laney Spurlock, Kalani McNeely, Quinn Spurlock, Noah Ward, Sophia Sanford, Grady Sanford, Chloe Hicks, Molly Hicks, Madeline Taylor, Nevaeh Hatfield, Eva Hatfield and Maylee Hatfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, December 9th in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Larry Combs, Minister officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net at Huntsville. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Leo Ernest Spurlock, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died December 24, 2011 at his home. He was born March 21, 1918 at Aurora, Arkansas, the son of James Everett and Rebecca McElhaney Spurlock. He was a farmer and had retired from Huntsville High School after many years as an Agri teacher. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Army Air Corps. He was an Elder of the Huntsville Church of Christ, a member of Hayes-Smith Post #137, American Legion at Huntsville and a former member of the Board of Directors of Northwest Technicial Institute in Springdale. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years, Mary Elizabeth Camp Spurlock on December 6, 2011. He was also preceded in death by one son, Dennis C. Spurlock, one brother, James L. Spurlock and three sisters, Norma Keeter, Erma Owen and Mildred Kelso.

Survivors include: one son and two daughters-in-law, Stephen E. and Karen Spurlock and Carla Spurlock, all of Huntsville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Harry and Kari Spurlock of Hindsville, Arkansas, Ernie and Amanda Spurlock of Springdale, Arkansas, Denise and Joey McNeely of Huntsville, Arkansas, Kerry Spurlock of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sarah Ward of Springdale, Arkansas, Suzie and Al Sanford of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kristy Hicks of Lowell, Arkansas, Andrea and John Taylor of Antioch, Tennessee and Ron and Randi Hatfield of Springdale, Arkansas; fourteen great-grandchildren, Claire Spurlock, Katelyn Spurlock, Laney Spurlock, Kalani McNeely, Quinn Spurlock, Noah Ward, Sophia Sanford, Grady Sanford, Chloe Hicks, Molly Hicks, Madeline Taylor, Nevaeh Hatfield, Eva Hatfield and Maylee Hatfield.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, December 28, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Larry Combs, Minister officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders of the Huntsville Church of Christ.
