Mamie Marie Sparks, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died December 17, 2011 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born November 27, 1918 at Kingston, Arkansas, the daughter of William Henry and Dialthia Wilson Casteel. He was a homemaker and at her death, she was the oldest member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church. She was the widow of her husband of forty years, Olney Alvin Sparks, Joe Kennedy and Floyd King. She was also preceded in death by one son, William Gene Sparks, four brothers, Virgil Casteel, Arthur Casteel, Dave Casteel and Carl Casteel, one sister, Rosie Pharris and one granddaughter, Michelle Moore.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Sparks of Huntsville, Arkansas; five daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Jack Parks of Minden, Louisiana, Barbara and Carroll Ober of Deer, Arkansas, Sharon and Burley Jackson and Janice and Elmer Moore, all of Huntsville, Arkansas and Peggy and Delbert Ramer of Spring Valley, Arkansas; a special friend and caregiver, Michael Umland of Huntsville, Arkansas; seven grandsons, eight granddaughters, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, December 21, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverends Jim Spurlock and David Watson officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Michael Umland, Dwain Ober, James Moore, Rich Robinson, Kevin Pinkston and Tommy Price. Honorary pallbearers will be: Lori Lynn Lester, Lindsay Lester, Sabrina Price, Jackki Hatchett, Carolyn Marler, Carroll Ober and Ike Mills. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
