Arthur Ansell "Bud" Dix, IV son of Arthur Ansell Dix, III and Joetta Christian Luther Nix. Bud was born in Niagra Falls, Niagra County, New York and died Oxford, Izard County, Arkansas.

Arthur Ansell "Bud" Dix, IV, son of the late Arthur Ansell Dix and Joetta Christian Luther was born August 11, 1943 in Niagara Falls, New York. He died August 16, 1997, in Oxford. He was 54. Mr. Dix was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Cudd November 10, 1991 in Los Vegas, Nevada.

He was a member of the Lions Club and served four years in the Navy attaining the rank of SN (E-3). He was a Baptist by faith and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; six daughters, Wendy McKibben of Lubbock, Texas; Daphne Helms of Odessa, Texas; Debbie Dix of Lubbock, Texas; Amanda Jacobs of Odessa, Texas; Rebecca Parker of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Gayle Newkirk of Murphreesboro, Tennessee; three sisters, Dorothy Krepps of Nutley, New Jersey; Ardith Ann Earl of Ashland, Kentucky; and Cheri Libey of Crossville, Tennessee and five grandchildren, Sidney Abagail Helms of Odessa, Texas; Ashley, Rachel, and Josiah Parker of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Marlana, Leslie, Tawnie and Dakota Newkirk of Murphreesboro, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Craig Dix and one grandson, Cole Newkirk.

Graveside funeral services were held August 18, 1997 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Oxford with Brother Dennis Gay officiating. Pallbearers were Bob Copeland, Jim Carl, Harold Hamley, Revel Simmons, Clifford Carpenter, and Robert Lee Bumpus. Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
