June 27, 1883 - December 3, 1965
Silas Claude Reynolds, 82, died Friday. A retired farmer, Mr. Reynolds is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sallie Ethridge Reynolds; two sons, Alfred Reynolds of Hampton, H. P. Reynolds of Warren; one step-son, Ennis Ables of Ruston, La.; three daughters, Mrs. W. C. Bass of Tucumcari, N. M., Mrs. Clyde Ables of Hampton, Mrs. Jettie Mae Tucker also of Hampton; one step-daughter, Mrs. Blount Avant of Greenville, Ill.; one brother, Ellis Reynolds of Hampton; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel Church near Hampton. Burial will be at Pickett Cemetery under the direction of Benton Funeral Service.
