Obituary- Mr. J. R. Breedlove, 80, of Montrose died Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at the Lake Village Health Center in Lake Village. Born in Portland and a resident of Montrose for most of his life, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Montrose Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Tommy Breedlove, Sr., and wife Teri and Jerry Breedlove and wife Penny of Hamburg, and Kenny Breedlove and wife Tangela of Portland; a daughter, Mary Linda Burgess of Tulsa, OK; a brother, Herman Breedlove and wife Beatrice of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Jane Divine Breedlove, in 2002; his parents, Thomas & Mary Cobb Breedlove; three brothers, Cliff, Glen, Hubert & Jessie Breedlove; and two sisters, Lea Worthy & Evelyn Cunningham
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 28, in the Montrose Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Donaldson and Bro. Jerry Selby officiating. Burial followed services at the Montrose Cemetery. Pallbearers were Deric, Heath, Wesley, Tommy, Jr., Jared and Josh Breedlove and Michael Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Boyce Harrod, Earl Pamplin, R.D. Selby, Shan Streeter, Kimbro Johnson, Bobby Jack Johnson, Junior Brooks and Glen Lawson.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 10411 W. Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, AR 72205-1409. Funeral arrangements were by Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
