Born October 11, 1801, Kentucky.
Died April 12, 1863, Pineville, Izard County, Arkansas.
Married Alden Byram, August 7, 1823, Madison County, Alabama.
Note: This is an iron gravestone that originally marked the grave of Telitha (or Tabitha) Byram and is still standing at the grave site. This type gravestone was sold in the early part of the twentieth century. When originally placed in cemeteries, a paper documentation containing information on the deceased was sealed behind the glass window. In almost all cases, the glass has been broken and even when the glass is in place the data sheet is rarely readable. A small homecrafted metal marker has been placed in front of this original marker.
The homecrafted marker has her first name listed as Tabitha; however, in most records such as census reports her name was listed a Telitha. Her maiden name is sometimes listed as Cowan and sometimes Cowen.]
