SPRINGDALE — Bessie Kendrick, 101, of Springdale died April 13, 2009, at Windcrest Health and Rehab in Springdale. She was born May 6, 1907, in Grandview, Texas, to Jessie and Chellie Raper Farrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Kendrick; son, Bob Kendrick; and daughter, Vera Lou DeSalvo.
Survivors include seven grandchildren, Janie Wells of Springdale, Daryl and Judy Kendrick of Fayetteville, David and Doris Kendrick of Owasso, Okla., Duane and Karen Kendrick of Blanchard, Okla., Greg Wells and Laura Ring of Tontitown, Dawn and Ed Phillips of Collinsville, Okla., and Tracy and Mark Foster of Springdale; seven great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m Thursday at First Baptist Church in Lowell with Darryl Kendrick and the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sisco Chapel in Springdale, online at www.siscofuneral.com.
