Eva Veneta Davis Rains, 93, of Gassville, Arkansas, was born on December 15, 1918, in Oxford, Arkansas, daughter of Luther Milton and Jessie Mae Julian Davis. She passed from this life on March 17th, 2012, at Gassville Nursing Home in Gassville.
Eva was united in marriage to Harold Rains. She was a faithful member of the West Road Church of Christ in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and she will be deeply missed, our loss is heavens gain.
She leaves to mourn her passing: three brothers, Lloyd Davis of Wenatchee, Washington, Gene Davis of Salem, Arkansas, and Luther Davis, Jr. of Portland, Oregon; one sister, Eunice Christenson of Portland, Oregon; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, Virtie, Beatrice and Winifred and two infant brothers.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas, with Minister Luell McCutcheon officiating. Interment will be in the Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
