ROBINSON, Marion Nelson - M.N. Robinson died quite suddenly last evening about 8 o'clock at his home on the corner just west of Rogers Acad-emy. Death was the result of dropsy and heart trouble. Mr. Robinson had been in poor health all fall but had been able to be around the house up to the day previous to his death. Yesterday morning he rapidly grew worse and the end came very peacefully. Funeral arrangements had not been completed at the time of our going to press. Marion Nelson Robinson was born at Peoria, III. April 23, 1839. He was married October 17, 1866 in that city to Miss Elizabeth Franklin, who survives him. To them were born six children, four of whom are still living: Mrs. R.E. Lovern of Canon City, Colo.; F.M. Robinson of Enid, Okla.; Mrs. F.M. Hawkins of Bard City, N.M. and Miss Floy Robinson of this city. Mr. Robinson and family lived for a number of years in Kansas and Oklahoma, coming here about eight years ago and buying a farm just northwest of town. Two years ago he bought the place where he was living at the time of his death. The deceased was of a quiet, retiring disposition and perhaps made friends slowly but he was well liked by all who knew him and the news of his sudden death was a matter of much regret throughout the community. The Democrat joins the friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.

Funeral services for Marion Nelson Robinson, who died December 14, were held yesterday afternoon at the residence, just west of Rogers Academy, at 2:30 o'clock and were conducted by Dr. Blanchard and Dr. Eaton of the Congregational Church. The funeral was delayed because difficulty was encountered in notifying the son who was away from home. All of the children were here to attend the funeral. In our account last week of the death of Mr. Robinson we over looked the fact that he was a Civil War veteran, having served with credit in Co. A, 2nd Illinois Light Artillery.
