Helen Elizabeth Gurke Waszak, daughter of the late John and Josephing Adamaczk Gurke, was born in Cicero, Illinois, September 28, 1920. She died February 16, 1997 at her home in Brockwell. She was 76.
Mrs. Waszak was united in marriage to Peter Waszak in May of 1950 in Cicero, Illinois. To this union one son was born. She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend.
Survivors include her husband of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Pamela Waszak of Martinton, Illinois; two sisters, Annie Cleary of Cicero, Illinois, and Kate Hudec of Millington, Illinois; two brothers, George Gurke of Plainfield, Illinois, and John Gurke of Kerwin, Illinois; and one niece, Joanne Barnes of Millington, Illinois.
