DOWD, F.B. - F.B. Dowd died Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock at his home in this city, the result of a stroke of paralysis. He had been in poor health for some time, partially the result of a previous stroke, but had been able to be on the streets until the day preceding his death. He was in the Democrat office last Friday and complained that ill health had almost impaired his eyesight until he found it very difficult to get about. Funeral services were held at the cemetery Wednesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. J.P. Dillon. Mr. Dowd, who was eighty-two years old, was a native of Pennsylvania and had lived in many states during his long life. He came to Rogers a number of years ago and has been a well known figure on our streets. He was a socialist and the author of a number of books on religious subjects, being chiefly concerned with the philosophy of the ancients. He leaves a wife and three grown children, the latter residing in Oklahoma and Texas.
