Kathy Phillips Deatherage, 61

Kathy Phillips Deatherage passed away on December 12 in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born on August 11, 1950 to Bernice (Spoon) and Bill Phillips. Kathy graduated from Cotter High School and attended college at The College of the Ozarks.

She leaves her devoted husband of 34 years, Dennis Deatherage and three wonderful children; sons, Sean (and Amy), Ashley (and Kelley); and her daughter, Mary-Katherine (and Michael). Kathy was a very proud "Nana" to five grandchildren; grandsons, Avery and Karson… and three granddaughters, Hannah, Emma-Kate, and Madeline.

In addition, Kathy is survived by one sister Carol Phillips of Mtn. Home, her aunt Thelma Spoon of the Gassville Nursing Center, a beloved cousin Mary Spoon Williams of Ozark, Mo. and many other members of the Phillips, Spoon, and Deatherage families.

Kathy was preceded to Heaven by her infant daughter Katherine Elizabeth and her brother Jimmy Phillips. A Remembrance Service for Kathy is scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Ozark, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to her family.
