Daughter of Albert Hendrix "Al" & Ida Jane Crooms Caldwell.
Married John Barton Ballard, September 8, 1909, Izard County, Arkansas.
White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, November 1, 1979:
Virgie Lee Ballard of Calico Rock, Ark., died October 27, 1979. She was 86.
Mrs. Ballard was a lifelong resident of Izard County, the daughter of Al Caldwell and Ida Crooms Caldwell and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Arlee Ballard of Washington State; one brother, Addy Caldwell of Kansas; 2 sisters, Ruby Caldwell of Little Rock and Vera Patterson also of Little Rock; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at Oxford Church of Christ on Monday under the direction of Howard’s of Melbourne. Minister Small and Dr. Robert Lane officiating. Burial was in Oxford Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Chuck Ballard, Pat Ballard, Mike Ballard, Grady Rush, Billy Martin and Jimmy Campbell.
