LONE, Mary Elizabeth WRIGHT - Mrs. J.A. Lone died at an early hour last Thursday morning after an illness of some length at her home on North Fourth street. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Friday morning at ten o'clock and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. T.E. McSpadden. Burial was in the Rogers cemetery. While Mrs. Lone had resided in Rogers for more than eight years she was confined to her home the greater portion of the time by poor health and her circle of acquaintances in our city was not large. But all who had enjoyed the privilege of knowing her recognized her as a woman of many Christian virtues and had learned to love her. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Wright, was born in Corydon, Ind. Dec. 25, 1839 and died Thursday, Nov. 2, 1916 at 4 p.m. Mrs. Lone was married to J.A. Lone in Corydon, Oct. 27, 1859 and to this union were born eight children, four of whom are living: Ed C. Lone of Rogers; H. Lone of Miller, Mo.; T.M. Lone of Corydon, Ind. and Mrs. Susan Ida Graham of Ash Grove, Mo. After spending several years in Indiana Mr. and Mrs. Lone moved to Ash Grove, Mo. where they remained till moving to Rogers in March 1908 at which place they have since resided. Mrs. Lone was converted in childhood and united with the United Brethren church. She held her membership in that church until April 23rd of this year when she united with the Presbyterian church of this city.
