Married John Houston Rowden, Jr., July 24, 1898, Fulton County, Arkansas.

Mrs. Sarah Rowden Dies at Oxford

Mrs. Sarah Rowden aged 75 died unexpectedly at her home at Oxford, Friday, November 6 following a heart attack. She was the widow of the late J. H. Rowden.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Oxford Methodist Church by Rev. Y. D. Whitehurst of Paragould, assisted by Rev. D. G. Hindman of Melbourne. Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery.

Surviving are five sons, Gregory of Evansville, Ind., Remmel and Dallas both of Oxford, Noble of Kansas City and Lindell of North Little; seven daughters, Mrs. Claude Hames of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Amy Webb of Greenville, S. C., Mrs. Owen Hames and Mrs. Albert Campbell both of Franklin, Mrs. Kenneth Green of Kansas City, Mrs. John Cliff of Wenatchee, Wash., and Mrs. Glen Cooper of Richland, Wash. Also surviving are five brothers, three sisters, 32 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Pall-bearers were: Zord Moss, Edison Dillard, Garland Morgan, Earl McVey, Roy Caruthers and Hayden Helm.
