Eula Mae Hampton, 72 passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born July 3, 1939 in Powhatan to James and Lillie Flood Mashburn. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County and a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Assembly Church in Hoxie

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Hampton, sister, Gladys Mashburn, brothers, Eugene, Shorty, William and James Monroe Mashburn.

She is survived by her daughter, Carletta Mashburn of the home; sisters, Ruth Boggs of Powhatan, Evelyn Phillips of Powhatan and Lula Taylor of Walnut Ridge.

Funeral services are Monday at 10:00 am in Christian Assembly Church in Hoxie with Keith Wooldridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Powhatan Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 pm in House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers: Matthew Taylor, James Rouse, Van Hinds, David Allen, Don Smith and Andy Huttig.

Honorary: Terry Taylor and Narvel Phillips.
