LYONS, J.A. - J.A. Lyons died Sunday morning at one o'clock at his home in this city. Death was the result of a cancer, from which he had suffered greatly the past six months. Funeral services were held Sunday evening at the residence at three o'clock and were conducted by Rev. W.B. Johnsey. Afterwards the Masonic order, of which he had been a member for forty years, took charge. Mr. Lyons was born in Washington county, Va. in 1835 and would have been sixty-eight years old on the 27th of next May. He was married to Hattie Crumley of Scott county, Va. September 28, 1871. Went with his family to Texas in 1886 where he lived until December of 1890 when they came to Rogers and have since resided. He leaves a wife and six children: Mrs. Maggie Pollock, Mrs. Mollie Hutchins, Will, Jim and Arthur Lyons, of Rogers and Mrs. Etta Golden of Hannibal, Mo.

LYONS, Hattie - Mrs. Hattie Lyons, who two weeks ago suffered a broken arm in a fall at her home at 321 West Oak street, died at 6 a.m. Saturday as a result of pneumonia. Mrs. Lyons was thought to be recovering until Friday when her condition grew worse and she developed pneumonia Friday night, causing her death Saturday morning. Funeral services were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.A. Pollock, 615 West Chestnut street, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. Ben C. Few, pastor of Central Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in the Rogers cemetery with J.W. Bryant in charge. Mrs. Lyons is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pollock and Mrs. Mollie Hutchins, Carthage, Mo. and three sons, Jim, Will and Ott Lyons.
