Obituary for Amanda Blevins Fleming:
Amanda Blevins Fleming, was the daughter of William and Addie Beaver Blevins. She was born April 23, 1898 at Violet Hill, Arkansas and departed this life May 27, 1982 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 4 days.
She was united in marriage to John Hubert Fleming September 28, 1918 at Violet Hill, Arkansas. To this union four children were born. Remmell Fleming, Willa Rhea (Rowden), Hazel (Rowden) and Carrol Fleming.
She was affiliated with the Baptist Church of Violet Hill, Arkansas and the Methodist-Presbyterian Church of Oxford, Arkansas. She spent the majority of her life in the Violet Hill and Oxford area. At the time of her death, she was surrived by one son, Remmell Fleming and wife Sybil of Yakima, Washington; two dauthers, Willa Rhea Rowden and husband Noble of Oxford and Hazel Rowden and husband, Harold (Jack) Rowden of Stone Mountain, Georgia; four brothers, Walter Blevins of Franklin, AR, Thurman Blevins of Violet Hill, Ar, Carl Blevins of Jonesboro, Ar, Bryan Blevins of Violet Hill, Ar; three sisters, Roxie Hollowell of Mt. Pleasant, Ar, Clyde Frasure of Jonesboro, Ar, Totsie Wood of Melbourne, Ar; five grandchildren, Jimmy Fleming and wife Lois of Tacoma, Washington, Ricky Fleming, Randy Fleming and wife Dee and Pat Fleming of Yakima, Washington and Willetta Everett and husband Glen of Brockwell, Arkansas. She also had ten great-grandchildren, Jeff, Julie and Jolene, Scott, Tina, Trampas, Seth Fleming, Randy, Leah and Glendon Everett and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, three brothers and one son.
