Daughter of Hugo Howard Blankenship & Bessie Lee Couch Blankenship.
Married Darrell Lowell Sherrell, April 12, 1952, Melbourne, Izard County, Arkansas.

Mary Alene Blankenship Sherrell of Oxford, daughter of Hugo and Bessie (Couch) Blankenship was born on October 15, 1934 at Bandmill. She died April 14, 1995 at her home at the age of 60 years.
Mrs. Sherrell was united in marriage to Darrell Sherrell on April 12, 1952 at Melbourne. She worked as a self-employed grocery store clerk and homemaker. She was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sherrell is survived by her husband Darrell of the home; three sons, Gene Sherrell of Grand Valley, Missouri; Randy Sherrell and Russell Sherrell both of Oxford; parents, Bessie and Hugo Blankenship of Bandmill; three sisters, Bonnie May of Springfield, Missouri; Rachel Dillard and Berniece Sherrell both of Oxford; two brothers, Billy Blankenship of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Howard Blankenship of Bandmill; one granddaughter Laura Jo and one grandson, Brandon Gene. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Burlin Blankenship and Roby Roy Blankenship and one sister, Wilma Blankenship.
Services were April 16 at Howard Chapel in Melbourne with Keith Finley and Noble Wiles officiating.
Pallbearers were Randy Carpenter, J.W. Ellis, John Hatfield, Max Williams, Freddie Walker and Steve Roberts.
Interment was at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
