Calico Rock Progress, Calico Rock, Arkansas, July 3, 1925:

Mrs. Zelma Ellis

Mrs. Zelma Ellis; who has been sick for several weeks, passed on the 23rd of June to a world where there is no sickness and death. Zelma was very patient during her long suffering. She has left a father, mother, two brothers, two sisters, husband, three little girls and a host of friends and other relatives to mourn her departure.

Dear people, don’t mourn her departure as one who had no hope, for we know that Zelma did the best she knew and some day we will sing with her around the great white throne.

Zelma was a kind and loving mother and wife. She gave all her time to her home and husband and babies. Deceased was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Linn Cooper of this place. The remains were laid to rest in the Oxford Cemetery Wednesday afternoon, Mr. Ross and Mr. Morton conducting the services.
