MRS. JEWEL HODGES

Mrs. Jewel Thrasher Hodges, 74, Rogers, died June 19 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born June 2, 1901, at Rogers, she was a retired mortician and held the first embalmer's license issued to a woman in the state of Arkansas. She was a lifetime resident of the Rogers area and a member of United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one son, Gene L. Thrasher, Fayetteville; and two grand-children.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Rogers Cemetery with the Rev. William Rail officiating. Arrangements are by Callison-McKinney of Bentonville.
