BRANNON, James B. - Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Mason Valley church for James B. Brannon who was found dead in his home in Mason Valley by his neighbors Jan. 31. Rev. F.A. Bradshaw, pastor of Hazel Glen Presbyterian church, conducted the services. He was a widower and had lived alone for several years. He lived on the Rachel Brown place and had been in ill health for some time but desired to stay alone. Mr. Brannon was born in Tennessee in 1856 and came to Washington Co. with his father's family when 2 years old. He later moved to Benton Co. where he spent the remainder of his life. At the age of 50 years he became converted and joined the Christian church at Centerton. Mrs. Brannon died several years ago. Surviving him is his daughter, Mrs. Blanche Green of Harrison; his sister, Mrs. Clark Stephenson, near Decatur; and 2 brothers, John of Mason Valley and Wesley Brannon of Condon, Oregon.
