Zona Rae Wharton
LOWELL — Zona Rae Kelton Wharton, 61, of Lowell died March 21, 2000, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Feb. 9, 1939, in Gravette to Frank B. and Cathrine Brown Kelton. She worked for Tyson Foods and was a USDA inspector. She was a member of the Northwest Medical Center Auxiliary and First Baptist Church in Lowell. She enjoyed reading, fishing and needlework.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Wayne Wharton of the home, to whom she was married Aug. 5, 1956; one son and daughter-in-law, Cullen Wayne Wharton and Mardi of Greensboro, N.C.; one sister, Doris R. Kelton of Rogers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Lowell with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel of Springdale.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will receice friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
