CLELL ELMORE BARKER
Cle11 Elmore Barker, 68, Fayetteville, died March 20 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born May 13, 1908, at Cane Hill, he was the son of Arthur and Stella Ballard Barker, a retired baker, a member of St. James Baptist Church in Fayetteville, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nola Mae Spencer Barker of the home; five sons, Clellie Barker Jr., Kansas City, Mo., Freddie Barker, Lonnie Barker, Kenneth Allen Barker and Don Barker, all of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Evelne Morris, Edgewood, Md., Mrs. Mary Rodgers and Mrs. Doris Black, Fayetteville, and Connie Barker of the home; one brother, Lafayette Barker, Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Gillis, Berkley, Calif., and Mrs. Isabella Lackey, Fayetteville; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. J.L. Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Bean Cemetery, Lincoln, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
