Isabell Barker Lackey

FAYETTEVILLE — Isabell Barker Lackey, 88, of Fayetteville died April 21, 2004, in Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born April 18, 1916, in Summers to Arthur Garfield and Stella Flowers Barker. She attended Summers grade school and obtained her high school education in Joplin, Mo. She retired as a cook and baker after 25 years of service at Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of Arkansas. She enjoyed Bible studies with Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston L. Lackey Sr.; one son Preston L. Lackey Jr.; one granddaughter, Sahn Monique Lackey. Survivors include one sister, Ora Giller of Berkeley, Calif.; two sons, Billy R. Lackey of Russellville and Thomas W. Lackey of Fort Worth, Texas; three daughters, Roberta Morgan, Elnora Jackson, JoAnn Goodley, all of Fayetteville.

Services will be held at ll a.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial wi11 be at Bean Cemetery in Lincoln with Steve West officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
