WILLIAM A. JOHNSON
William Albert Johnson, 78-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, died Dec. 29 in Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 1, 1897, in Washington County, he was a retired farmer and salesman, World War I veteran and member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jane Johnson of the home; one son, James A. Johnson, Siloam Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Hulet, Prairie Grove, and Mrs. Hannah Hunton, Lincoln.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Rev. Jeff Cheatham officiating. Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Service.

SILOAM SPRINGS — C. Jane Smith Johnson, 88, of Siloam Springs died Sept. 19. 1999, at Siloam Springs. She was born Aug. 6, 1911, in Summers to James Franklin and Dessie Rhea Smith.
She was a longtime resident of Northwest Arkansas, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert Johnson, in 1975.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, including Arnold Smith of Vian, Okla., Virginia Lee Branch of Bartlesville, Okla., Phyllis Platt of Oklahoma City, Okla., Janis Ritchie of Arlington, Texas, and Ruth Hammond of Carrizozo, N.M.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with Dr. Steve Abbott officiating.
Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery.
