AMOS, Ava Catherine MASON - Mrs. Ava Catherine Amos was born on May 17th, 1897 at Mason Valley, Benton county, Ark. Graduated from the Miami, Okla. high school in May 1916. Married to Don L. Amos on May 16th, 1921 at Elk City, Okla. Died on May 4th, 1924 at El Paso, Texas. Her remains were sent to the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Mason of Mason Valley, in which home services were conducted by Rev. W.J. LeRoy of Centerton and Rev. F.A. Bradshaw of Vaughn, after which the body was laid to rest in the Coffelt cemetery. (Her mother, Mrs. Minnie C. Mason, died August 15th, 1898. The deceased is survived by her husband, Don L. Amos, a little daughter two years old, Mary Jo; Charles Mason, her brother; Helen and Dorothy Mason, sisters, of El Paso, Texas; O.F. Mason, her father, of Miami, Okla.; Mrs. Martha Wetzel, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Mason, grandparents, and many other relatives and friends.
