TUBBS, Arvilla C. FRISBY - Mrs. Arvilla C. Tubbs, wife of L.M. Tubbs, died at an early hour Thursday morning, the result of an attack of paralysis with which she had suffered for some time. Early last fall she went to Indiana and spent some time with her daughter, Mrs. Leister, but returned a few weeks ago and had been failing ever since. She died at the home of Mrs. Bartlett, west of the Academy. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Friday morning at ten o'clock and were conducted by Rev. Nelson. Arvilla C. Frisby was born in Catargus, New York August 29, 1845, being 61 years, 3 months and 21 days old at the time of her death. She was married to Levi M. Tubbs April 23, 1864. To this union were born 4 children, 2 sons, who died in infancy, and 2 daughters, Mrs. Will Bartlett of Cave Springs, this county, and Mrs. W.L. Leister of Oakland City, Indiana. After their marriage they lived 11 years in Cresco, Iowa; 11 years in Taopi, Minn.; 3 years in Madison, South Dakota and then came to Rogers 11 years ago. She had been a member of the M.E. church most of her life and she was a faithful worker. She was a devoted Christian mother and a loving wife and companion to her husband, who survives her.
