Ivan R. Meek, 76, of Berryville died Jan. 3, 1995, at his home. He was born Sept. 22, 1918, at Berryville, to Ray Calvin and Laura Ruth Riston Meek. He was an Air Corps veteran of World War II, had owned Meek Furniture in Tulsa and was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Woodworth Meek of the home, to whom he was married Sept. 23, 1937; two sons, Ivan Charles Meek of Lafayette, Colo., and John Frederick Meek of Berryville; two daughters, Anne Louise Lichti of Berryville and Merrily K. Ward of Kingston; two brothers, Donald Meek of Los Angeles and Calvin Meek of Tulsa; three sisters, Laura Louisa Burgess, Lenora Elizabeth Monger and Ruby Cranberg, all of Tulsa; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Berryville with the Rev. Ken Drezinski officiating. Burial will be in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.

Memorials may be made to the Shiloh Methodist Church.

LOUISE (WOODWORTH) MEEK, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born March 29, 1916, in Collbarn, Colorado. She departed this life Sunday, December 31, 2006, in her home at the age of 90.

Louise was a homemaker. She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Dry Fork, Arkansas. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Huntsville, Arkansas, and the E.H.C.

She is survived by two sons, Ivan Charles Meek of Lafayette, Colorado and John Fredrick Meek of Claremore, Oklahoma; two daughters, Anne Lichti of Berryville, Arkansas, and Merrily K. Ward of Kingston, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Maurine Glasby of Berryville, Arkansas; several other relatives and a host of friends.

On September 23, 1937, she was united in marriage with Ivan Rector Meek who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Anna Woodworth.
