*Obituary Batesville Guard
Jimmie Alvin Hays, age 75, of Batesville, Arkansas died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at his home. Born on November 28, 1933 in Hutchinson Mountain, Arkansas, he was the son of Bryan Hays and Jewell Keene Hays.
He was retired from White-Rodgers where he worked for over 33 years, a veteran of the US Army and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hays of Batesville; three daughters, Luann Norris of Poughkeepsie, Paula Laposky of Bethesda and Janet Wallace of Cushman; two brothers, Arthur Hays of Haysville, KS and Kenneth Hays of Verdon, Nebraska; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Bryan Hays and one brother, Herbert Hays.
Honorary pallbearers were Denver Lamons, Gerald Barber, Billy Cook, Dr. J.R. Baker, Johnny Dowell and Eric Norris.
