*Obituary Gladys M. Harris, age 73, of Batesville, Arkansas died Friday, August 15, 2008 in a local nursing home. Born on July 15, 1935 in Huff, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Auther Elumbaugh and Bertha McClung Elumbaugh. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Gaylen Melton of Desha and Tommy Melton of Jamestown; one daughter, Brenda Evans of Batesville; five brothers, Bill Elumbaugh of Southside, R.B. Elumbaugh of TX, Chester Elumbaugh of Atlanta, GA, J.S. Elumbaugh of Flint, MI and Auther Elumbaugh of San Augustine, Tx; two sisters, Lavine Trowell of Cummings, GA and Faye Branscum of Batesville; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Harris; two sons, Danny Melton and Mikel Melton; two brothers, Jim Elumbaugh and Ray Elumbaugh and three sisters, Lois Tate, Joyce Bush and an infant sister.
