STRAIN, Benjamin – Mrs. Mary Strain, widow of Benjamin Strain, who died September 27, 1894, filed Widow Application #13589 with the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for a Confederate widow pension and it was received as allowed August 15, 1907 at the State, citing her husband’s service with Company K, Arkansas Cavalry from 1862 thru 1865.. Mrs. Strain died January 30, 1913.
