BALL, Vivian M. WALKER - Miss Vivian M. Walker was born in Iowa county, Iowa August 13, 1875 and departed this life at Rogers, Ark. Friday, June 23, 1916 at 9:15 p.m. At the age of nine years she moved with her mother and brother to Barber county, Kansas. She made her home with her mother until her marriage in 1904 when on April 3, she was united in marriage to W.S. Ball. To this union were born three girls, Laura, aged 11; Lenore, age 9, and little O11ie Elma, aged nine days, the tiny infant for whom she gave her life. At the age of 21 years she accepted Christ as her Saviour and ever since that time no more kind, loving and sincere Christian life could have been led than she led. Those who knew her most loved her best. Besides her three children, she leaves a sorrowing husband, a broken hearted mother, Mrs. L.V. McKean, and two mourning brothers, I.S. Walker of this city and M.H. McKean of Lawrence, Kas. Wherever she lived she has been a tireless Sunday school and church worker, she being a member of the Friend's church. A patient mother, a devoted daughter, a true wife and loving sister has gone from us for awhile but the benediction of her memory will reach out and span the uncertain interval between us and eternity, with its promise of a great reunion. The funeral was conducted at the family home at 4 p.m. June 24th, 1916 by Rev. T.E. McSpadden, assisted by Dr. A. Blanchard, after which interment was made in Rogers cemetery.
