Clarence Alven Johnson, 77 of Bee Branch, died Saturday, October 27, 2007. Born in Formosa, AR, on March 3, 1930, he was a son to the late Vasco L. and Minnie Belle (Bennett) Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired after 32 years of service with the Ball Glass Co., in El Monte, CA, where he was a mold polisher. He loved baseball and was a Little League coach for six years and was president of the ballpark association in El Monte. After retiring and moving to Arkansas, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma (Mahan) Johnson, an infant son, Richard W. Johnson; a brother, Leon Johnson; and a sister, Velma Simon.
Survivors include, a son Wayne Johnson and wife Heidi of Bee Branch, AR; grandchildren: Brittney R., Kristy C., and Garrett W. Johnson; a step-grandson Michael A. Lara; a brother L. J. Johnson and wife Dora Lee of North Little Rock, AR; a sister Sybil Clarie and husband Dink of Star City, AR; and Rosie Tanner of Morrilton, AR.
Lois Johnson, age 70 of Bee Branch, Arkansas died Thursday, January 5th, 2005. She was born September 26th, 1935 in Bee Branch to the late William McKinley and Ida Belle Payne Mahan. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Bobbie Knight and Imogene Komar. She was retired from the Jersey Milk Company in California after 32 years of employment.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Clarence Alvin Johnson, her son: Wayne A. Johnson and wife Heidi of Bee Branch, by four grandchildren: Michael Lara, Brittney Johnson, Kristy Johnson and Garrett Johnson all of Bee Branch; by three sisters: Alene Bynum of Bee Branch, Ilamae Good of Independence, Missouri and Bonnie Lee Shipp of Hattieville, Arkansas; and by one brother: Bill Mahan of Center Ridge.
Pallbearers were Mike Lara, Garrett Johnson, Bobby Nixon, Tommy Mahan, Wayne Mahan, and Tim Johnson.
