WALKER, Sarah Ann PACE - Died, January 22, 1914 at her home on Pea Ridge, Ark., Mrs. Sarah Ann Walker {nee Pace), aged 81 years, four months and 21 days. Deceased was born in Bedford county, Tenn. September 1, 1832. Came to Benton county, Arkansas in 1852. She was married to J.G. Walker on October 21, 1857. Their only home was on Pea Ridge where they both died. To them were born nine children, two sons and six daughters living. For many years she was a helpless invalid but a patient and unmurmuring sufferer. About six years ago the writer, in a private service held at the residence, received her into fellowship with the Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church. She lived and died in the faith promised to the children of God. She is survived by two brothers, John and Milton Pace, and two sisters, Mrs. James Woods and Mrs. John Hardy, and eight children, two sons, J.W. Walker and J.F. Walker, and six daughters, Mrs. John Ford, Mrs. Jack Bone, Mrs. Henry Miser, Mrs.______Beed, Mrs. Henry Price, Miss Nannie Walker and a host of grandchildren. Many friends and neighbors attended the funeral services held from the residence after which the remains were buried in the Hickman Cemetery. May the Holy Spirit comfort the bereaved and sorrowing. P. Carnahan.
