David Embleton

David Lee Embleton, 64, of Bentonville, died Oct. 2, 1992 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. Mr. Embleton was born Nov. 28, 1927 at Bridgeburg, Penn., to Richard Allen Embleton and Margaret Steffey Embleton.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, and served as a medic for six years.

Mr. Embleton was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University.

He had been involved in education for 16 years. He retired as principal from Pershing Hill Elementary School in Ft. Mead, Md.

He moved to Benton County from Baltimore, Md., in 1976.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Embleton, of the home; a son, Steven Allen Embleton, of the home; three brothers, Edwin Embleton of Oakridge, Tenn., Larry Embleton of Jacksonville, Fla., and Robert Embleton of Temple Hill, Md.; two sisters, Marge Kirk, of Pasadena, Md., and Tootie Hires of Glenburnie, Md.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, by the Rev. Al Fowler.

Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery, by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
