Lenard J. Coran, 82, of Conway passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010. He was born on Thursday, March 15, 1928 in Wright City, Oklahoma to the late Joe and Maggie (Elkins) Coran.

Mr. Coran was a loving husband, dad, and grandaddy. He was a member of Troutman Chapel in Mayflower where he played guitar for over twenty-eight years. His family remembers him as a man that could play any instrument with strings. He was a man who was hard on the outside, but soft on the inside. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time golfing with his buddies. His career included working for the railroad, home building, and a car dealer. His carpentry skills are reflected throughout Troutman Chapel.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Bertha (Beagles) Coran; four sons, Sonny Kuykendall and his wife Jerry, Barton Henderson and his wife Polly, Daryl Coran and his wife Marsha, and Richard Coran and his wife Sherry; three daughters, Betty Hammer and her husband Lonnie, Wanda Hale, and Gaye Searles and her husband Paul; twenty-five grandchildren; fifty-nine great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Coran, Wayne Coran, and James Coran; and one sister, Louise Winters.

Jeffrey Williams, Jason Carter, Ryan Freeman, Jay Stacy, Clyde Troutman, and Daryl Coran, Jr., served as pallbearers.
