Floyd Walker
Floyd Franklin Walker, 84, of Pea Ridge, died Wednesday, April 7, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rogers.
He was born Dec. 13, 1908, at Pea Ridge to Robert Franklin and Ethel Rogers Walker. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer and a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He served as a medic tech in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received five Bronze Stars for Normandy, France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central European Campaigns, and the Good Conduct medal. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Pea Ridge.
Survivors are his wife, Hazel Walker of Pea Ridge; two sons Franklin Walker of Pea Ridge, and Doyle Wayne Walker of Bentonville; two brothers, Russell and Max Walker, both of Pea Ridge; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel, Pea Ridge, with the Rev. Pam Bolerjack officiating. Burial is to be at Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is set for 1-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
