Hazel Neil Billingsley age 89 of Melbourne died Wed., Dec. 29, 1993 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born Jan. 25, 1904 in Lacrosse, AR to George W. and Elizabeth Turner. Hazel and William Eldon Billingsley were united in marriage at Franklin, AR.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances James of San Leandro, CA and Katharine Lawrence of Lewisville, AR; one son, Edward T. Billingsley of Melbourne; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother.
Funeral services were Fri., Dec. 31 at 10:00 a.m. in the Howard Chapel at Melbourne with Rev. Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial was in Melbourne Cemetery with arrangements by Howard Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers were John James, Steve Wheeler, Jim Miller, Gray Dillinger, Paul Weaver and Charles Cheatham. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Jacobs, Tom Simpson, Fred Blankenship, J.P. Davidson, Roman Howard, John E. Miller and Hale Bibb.
