Luther A. Sanders, aged 32, died at his home in Cullendale at 6:45 o'clock Thursday afternoon. He is survived by his wife and three children, Novella, Carlton, and Alton, of Cullendale; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Sanders, also of Cullendale; four sisters, Mrs. L. O. Lindsey, of Bearden; Mrs. J. A. Chambliss of Hampton, Mrs. Ed Caldwell and Mrs. Allen Oliver, both of Warren; seven brothers, C. J. of Hampton, Clyde of Hope, Lonnie, Roy, Louis, Hercel and Allen Sanders, all of Cullendale. Funeral services and burial were held at New Hope cemetery near Hampton at 3 p.m. Friday by the Rev. W. M. Grooms. Proctor mortuary was in charge. (Camden News - June 1, 1945)
