James B. Holloway, Jr., passed away September 1, 2007, after a lengthy battle with MS and Cancer. James was born August 6, 1947 in Judsonia, Arkansas. He was the son of James and Zelda Holloway of Greenbrier, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and a member of McGintytown Church of God. James was retired from Nabco of Conway.
James is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Mary (McGinty) Holloway; daughters, Christy Brown and husband Doug of Panama City, Florida; Missy Milner and husband Danny of Greenbrier; Shelly McNeil and husband Rance of Springhill; ten wonderful grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by a sister, DeAnn Phillips and a brother Jerry Holloway both of Greenbrier.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, A. L. and Josie Brunson of Judsonia and Amon and Dorothy Holloway of Greenbrier.
James was a Volunteer Fireman. He served as Fire Chief, Board Member and First Responder of the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department. He was instrumental in planning for Community Water and Fire Hydrants; as well as in the planning of the new Sub Station #2 that is dedicated to him.
Cody Hosman, Trey Brown, John Goodrich, Jerry Holloway, Perry McGinty and Jim Moreland served as pallbearers
