Edith V Whitridge
SPRINGDALE — Edith V. Whitridge, 96, of Springdale died Feb. 19, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born Dec. 20, 1911, in Mount Carrol, Ill., to Peter F. and Emma L. Bitker Thompson.
She moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1950 from Porterville, Calif. She worked for Ozark Land Co. for seven years and Boone Ritter Insurance Co. for 17 years as secretary/bookkeeper. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale and the LWML Mission Society Altar Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Whitridge, in 1961.
She is survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sisco Chapel in Springdale, www.siscofuneral.com.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale with the Rev. Mark Q.L. Louderback officiating. Burial will be in Benton County Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 1800 W. Emma Ave., Springdale.
