Viva Marsh Harris of Melbourne, daughter of the late Charles Marsh and Adelia F. Hames was born March 11, 1902 in Franklin. She died November 24, 1995. She was 93.
Mrs. Harris was a retired sales clerk, past Worthy Matron for Eastern Star and a member of the Melbourne Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, James Charles Harris of Melbourne; one sister, Ena Horton of Calico Rock; two grandchildren, Pamela Dianne Harris of Wichita, Kansas; and James Steve Harris of Melbourne; one step-granddaughter, Donna Adams of Salem and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim Butter" A. Harris; three brothers and one sister.
Services were held November 26 at the Melbourne Church of Christ in Melbourne with Brother Chuck Crow officiating.
Pallbearers were Son Lamb, Gerald Coleman, Curtis Dale, James O. Miller, Shelby Qualls and Vance Tate. Honorary pallbearers were Fred Blankenship, John Copeland and John E. Miller
Interment was at Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
