When Katie Jewel Davis was born on August 4, 1910, in Vilonia, Arkansas, her father, Needham, was 36, and her mother, Mary, was 26. She married Carl William York on December 22, 1934, in Faulkner Township, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. She died on October 11, 2002, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 92, and was buried in Mayflower, Arkansas.
