March 30, 1914 - November 21, 1960
William Doyle Sparks, aged 46 of 613 North Newton Street El Dorado died in an El Dorado hospital at 4:50 a.m. Monday. Mr. Sparks was a salesman for the Peoples Furniture Company in El Dorado. He formerly lived and worked in Camden and Ouachita County. He had been in El Dorado for about 8 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorene Cathey Sparks; a son, William Doyle Sparks, Jr., of El Dorado; and two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Bailey of Midland, Texas, and Mrs. Hattie Quimby of El Dorado. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel Church north of Bearden, conducted by Rev. L. D. Rhoads, and Dr. Walter Warmath. Burial will be in the Bethel cemetery by Proctor Funeral Home. Casket bearers are, Linnie F. Graves, Ray Owens, Jack T. Davis, Bill Lockett, J. E. Ponder, and Carl Evans.
