Betty L. Smith 78 of Mountain home, died Sunday (Nov 27, 1988) at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was a former resident of Oklahoma City, Okla., and had been a resident of Mountain Home since May 1975.
She was born Feb. 28, 1910 at Drake, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Herman and Lydia Bergman Funk. Both parents preceded her in death.
Mrs Smith is survived by her husband, Red N. Smith. The Smiths were married Dec 25, 1931 at Oklahoma City.
A member of the College and North Church of Christ, Mrs Smith was also an active member of the Baxter County Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Smith of Sicily and Wiley Smith of Noble, Okla.; and one daughter, Mary Horn of Arcadia, Calif.
She is also survived by a sister Elma Selbert of Hillsboro, Kans., and by two half brothers, Marvin Funk of Florida and Clarence Funk of Van Nuys, Calif.
Six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation for Mrs Smith will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Kirby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at the Kirby Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Mike Shero officiating.
Burial will be at Oxford Cemetery at Oxford. All arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral Directors of Mountain Home.
