Guy Braddy
Rison - Guy Braddy, 48, outstanding chicken raiser and Cleveland county vocational teacher, died at Kingsland Saturday. A resident of Kingsland for the past three years and Cleveland county for the past 14 years, Braddy had taught vocation courses at Woodlawn and New Edinburg schools. He currently had been teaching in the Kingsland High School. He was born in Edington, Mo, and lived at Herber Springs before coming to Cleveland county. He was a member of the Kingsland Baptist church and the New Edinburg Huey Lodge No 78. Survivors include his widow, Mrs Nelly Braddy; one son, Leon D Braddy, his father, A C Braddy of Miller, Ark, his maternal grandmother, Mrs Abbie Ross of Winona, Mo., four brothers, Bob of Kingsland, Johnny of Umitilla, Oregon, Standly of the US Army and Frank of Fort Smith; three sisters, Mrs Zona McHaffey of Texarkana, Ark, Mrs. Ola Ziaours of St Louis and Mrs Julia Hooten of Miller. Funeral services were held in Kingsland Baptist Church at 2 p m today. The Rev L B Moseley of New Edinburg was in charge. Active pallbearers were: J D Hobbs, E L Hopper, H U Gray, Dub Cameron and Clark McClain all of Kingsland and J W Sawyer of Pine Bluff. The Masonic lodge had charge of burial services at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Buie Funeral Home.
