Carol Day O'Dell, 65 of Greers Ferry passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born on November 21, 1943, in Vilonia, AR, she was a daughter to the late Leon and Ann (Gwatney) Day.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed ladies bible study, flower gardening and was an accomplished oil painter. Carol graduated from Conway High School and Paris Texas Junior College where she attained a degree in economics and bookkeeping. She retired from Maybeline and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Greers Ferry.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick O'Dell; son Steve Owens of Tennessee; daughter Pamela Renea Tipton of Montana; step-children Stephanie Scott and Jason O'Dell; grandchildren: Jonathan Tipton, Morgan Tipton, Stephanie Saber and Braden Saber and Aidan Scott; sisters Pat Everett of Greenbrier and Judy Hargrove of Conway; brothers Richard Day of Damascus and Billy Ward of Beebe ad a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Burial was at Beryl Cemetery in Vilonia with Lloyd Martin, Travis Stone, Arron Scott, Rusty Woodham, Tony Woodham, and Jason Everett serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearer is Jason O'Dell.
