Floyd L Posey, age 81 of Quitman, Arkansas died Friday, March 4, 2005 at his home. He was born November 6, 1923 in Greenbrier, Arkansas the son of the late William Curtis & Mary Velma Purtle Posey. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Floyd Lee, Jr, brothers Virgil, Vernon, & Raymond Posey; & by sister Mary Sue Bryant.

He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, had retired from Georgia Pacific & Louisiana Pacific after 30 years of employment as a lumber grader in Eureka & Somoa, California , & was a 32nd degree Mason. He loved hunting, fishing, family & all that went along with his life.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Macel Davis Posey, his son Ronnie Posey of Conway, two grandchildren Michael Shane Posey & Amanda Leann Wilson both of Conway; & by two great-grandchildren Taylor Jean Wilson of Conway & Brian Posey of California.

Macel Floyd Davis Posey, 75, of Quitman, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. She was born July 25, 1932 in Mississippi, daughter of the late Robert & Oller Mae Clifton Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L Posey who died March 4, 2005; an infant son, Floyd Posey, Jr & two brothers, Vernon H & Richard E Davis.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Posey & wife Patti, grand daughter, Amanda Wilson & husband Jeff, grandson Michael Posey, great-grand daughter, Taylor Wilson, all of Conway, great-grandson, Bryan Posey of Eureka, California; brothers, Robert L Davis (Margie) of Gravel Ridge, Toby Davis (Ruby) of North Little Rock; Tony Davis (Betty) of Jonesboro, as well as many nephews, nieces & great-nephews & nieces.
