January 6, 1918 - September 13, 1967
James R. (Stack) Clemons, aged 49 of Rt. 3 Camden, died early Wednesday morning in a local hospital. He was retired from the US Navy, and was currently employed by Arkansas Highway Dept. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Reba Clemons; two daughters, Gwendolyn of the home and Ann; two step-sons, Jimmy and Larry Launius of Camden; his mother, Mrs. Lena Clemons of Bearden; four brothers, Earl Clemons of Thornton, William N. Clemons of Ellenwood, Kansas, U. B. Clemons of Camden, Garland Clemons of Terrall; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bryant and Mrs. C. M. Avery of Camden; Mrs. Melba Martin of New Mexico and Mrs. Merl Robbins of Houston, Texas, and three grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
